We used this book in order to understand his theory on childhood stages of development, and how they compare to Freud’s model. This is a primary source document.
Freud, Sigmund. The Interpretation of Dreams. 3rd ed. 1900. PDF file.
We used this book to help understand Freud’s concepts and to help create a research question and a thesis. This is a primary source document. The book explains the growth of the human id, ego,and superego. This book was difficult to read as Freud make references to older works on psychology. However, we were able to get a good idea of what is the id, ego, and superego.

This video is a combination of audio from Freud’s personal account of his life and interviews with historians who are knowledgeable on Freud’s life and his works. This source can be used as a primary source because it has a first-hand account of Freud’s life. We used this source to really understand Freud’s theories and to understand what he went through when he was alive. This video was a biography of Freud and helped us with background on him and helped us develop his point of view to understand his works.

This is a secondary source that gives an overview of Freud’s life and his works. While this was not our most important secondary source we used this mostly to understand Freud and used it as an interpretation of his works because we were having a difficult time understanding what he had written. This is written by a professor knowledgeable about Freud and his life.
